Actor/Director

Kenneth Stack

Ken is thrilled to be back onstage at the Acadia Rep and is honored to be a part of the Rep’s 50th Season. Trained at the Theatre Arts Conservatory at Webster College (now Webster University), Ken received his B.A. cum laude in 1974.  He joined the Acadia Rep that same year and fell in love with Maine. Although his career took him down to New York and to many regional theatres, he was sure that someday he would return to Maine. This finally happened in 1982, when he returned to the Rep as artistic director. Ken has worked for most of the theatre organizations in central and eastern Maine, including the Acadia Rep, the Penobscot Theatre, the Grand Auditorium, the Belfast Maskers, the Bangor Community Theatre and Ten Bucks Theatre Company.  He has appeared in over 400 professional productions and directed over 250 plays and musicals and for many years served as director of the Entertainment Production degree program at Husson University. Ken lives in Bangor, with his wife, Kim and daughter Adrienne.
