Welcome to the Acadia Rep!

Since 1973, the Acadia Repertory Theatre has made its home in the rustic Masonic Hall in Somesville, on Mt. Desert Island, Maine. We are surrounded by the wonders of Acadia National Park, which comprises over half of the island. Mountains, pine trees, lakes and ocean all provide a perfect setting for a summer stock theatre company.

Our 38th Summer Season continues this tradition of live professional theatre on Mt. Desert Island, which has been a summer highlight for countless visitors to this spectacular vacation idyll. We know that we are extremely fortunate to be able to do our work in such a sublime setting, and we enjoy sharing this special experience with you, our faithful friends and guests. Since our first season, we have presented over 250 productions created by the talents of over 700 performers, designers and technicians. Each opening night has been a special thrill for us and our audiences as well.

In our quaint performance space, which seats 148, we have presented an impressive mix of comedies, dramas, mysteries and children's theatre. The relaxed and informal atmosphere here at the theatre provides the perfect ending to a day spent touring the delights of Mt. Desert Island.
